Parents and especially impoverished children worry that they won’t have what they need. The children don’t want to stand out because their backpacks, jackets, and shoes are old and beaten up. In many parts of Mexico, many children have very little and cannot even go to school. Then there are children who don’t have parents; they are orphaned and grandma or a neighbor takes care of them. (Such is the case of several of the children in our program in Mexico.
Thanks to your generosity, the children in our Amigos-del-Rei program in Mexico were hugely blessed this year and their back-to-school needs were again met. Each child received a new backpack and was excited to choose his or her preferred color or style. It was an exciting day.
