“…because a great door for effective work has opened, and there are many who oppose.”

(I Corinthians 16:9).

Earlier this year, the Indian government closed down many Christian organizations similar to Orphans First, resulting in them pulling out of India and leaving thousands of vulnerable children without their aid. (Compassion International, for one, was serving 140, 000 children before they pulled out.) While we are doing our part to be extra vigilant, we need prayer for the safety of our homes and children—and for wisdom as we navigate this opposition.

Thankfully, God is graciously allowing us to continue raising up these precious kids in our children’s homes.  They are all studying hard and enjoying life in our family-like homes. These photos from Grace Home run by Niconar and Lydia highlight life in an Orphans First children’s home. Thanks to your partnership, these children live wholesome lives and are learning to love Jesus, work hard and have fun.

But life in India is precarious. and sometimes children have to leave for whatever reason. Such was the case of a few children recently whose remaining distant family members needed them to work (beyond our control or desire). Please pray for Solomon who sadly had to leave to care for an elderly relative. Meanwhile, meet some of our new children, Pushpa (10) and her brother Varakumar (9).

Christmas is already on the horizon. Each year, we provide gifts for every child in our homes and programs. We pray to finish this year strong so that all needs are met and we can begin 2018 on solid footing. Will you help by sharing the blessings of Orphans First with others who may want to give a tax-deductible gift to an authentic grass-roots ministry helping at-risk kids in India, Mexico, Siberia…?

Thank you for praying and supporting Orphans First. You are making a difference in children’s lives. Send your tax-deductible contributions to the address above—or via the website: www.orphansfirst.org.
