“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8).

A while back, I’d asked you to pray for Parmeesh’s crossed eyes issue. Seems the solution was simple. He apparently just needed glasses. Here he is sporting his glasses with boyish pride. Isn’t he adorable?

13-year-old Parmeesh lives in our children’s home in Kolalapudi, India. In his free time he likes to “…read children’s comic books and play Shuttle, my favorite game. I clean my rack, and arrange my books and clothes orderly.” Parmeesh wants to become a doctor and provide “an opportunity to treat the patients and give them new life by treating their diseases”.

Regarding the children’s home, he says, “I never feel alone. I’m a member of a big family. I get much love from Pastor, Pastor Mother, and my friends. If I wasn’t here, I’d miss all this”.  The house mom “cares for me like a mother. She tells us Bible stories, and talks about God’s love — that we should spread it to others. She says to never hurt anyone even if they hurt me. Show God’s love and one day, they’ll understand what you are.”

These beaming faces tell me all the boys feel the same way. That’s what makes our work so worthwhile. We see lives changed—thanks to your generous partnership.

And here’s another beautiful face — Sofia from one of our programs in Mexico, reading a tract about God’s love. Thank you for helping these children. Tax-deductible contributions can be sent to the address above—or via the website: www.orphansfirst.org.
